Jack’s family | Denver baby photography

It’s your typical boy-meets-girl story: Sara is a nurse. Kevin is a doctor. They meet and fall in love, have a baby. They name him Jack.

And then, they hire me to take Jack’s photos. along with some of their family. I love stories with a happy ending.

Jack is a pumpkin, chubby-cheeked, blue-eyed. He was the perfect portrait subject–nary a tear was shed during the making of these photos at Denver’s Commons Park. We’d lost the leaves a few days before in a snow storm that marked the end of fall and the beginning of Indian Summer. We were happy to have softly clouded skies and lots of leaves on the ground for Jack to play in {and try to eat}. I am so happy to have made this new family’s first formal portraits! And I hope to take many more photographs of Jack as he grows up!

It’s a great set of portraits … great lighting, catch-lights in the eyes, great skin color! My favorites are numbers 6 and 9 … hard to pick a photo that doesn’t have little Jackie in it!

I LOVE the picture of Kevin and Sara with their backs to camera looking at Jack! All of the shots are gorgeous, but I think the BEST is the whole family on the rocks! PERFECT family, beautiful pictures!

the 3rd up from the bottom is my favorite.. i love this one it is so candid i really like it. and i love the last family photo.. however they are ALL spectacular pictures!!!

I vote for 5, 6, and 9. I can’t pick. If you made me pick just one, I would say 9 just because it has all of you in it. So cute.

You guys are too cute for words (and Jack’s much of that cuteness!)! I really like 5 & 6 of Jack… then also 9 & 11 as family photos. :-)

I’m not sure who Lia is…but my favorite picture of the Roger’s is the very last one! Love it!!!
